I was very naughty with money yesterday. I also booked flights to visit a friend in Melbourne over Australia day and the weekend following it. I left it pretty late so it cost $350, but I am past caring about saving. I have been feeling sad and drained these past weeks and it has made me more determined to live in the present and enjoy it while I can.

What is Melbourne like on Australia day eve, and can anyone recommend a good spot to watch the fireworks from?
